The Adopt-an-Island comittee keeps the Newcomers & Neighbors island presentable, with the use of volunteers, by maintaining the area with flowers, shrubs, and/or holiday decorations throughout the year.
The Newcomers Island is located on General Way across from the Market Basket and the Stop N Shop. There are currently over 105 Adopt-an-Island sites throughout the town, each marked by a green sign and an American Flag.
