What is Newcomers and Neighbors?
The Newcomers and Neighbors Club of Reading is a socially oriented club providing its members an opportunity to meet other families in Reading in an entertaining and fun atmosphere.

Who can join Newcomers and Neighbors?
The Club is open to all residents of Reading, MA. Our membership consists mainly of families with young children who have either recently moved to town or have lived here a long time but are looking for new activities and to meet new people.

What does Newcomers and Neighbors Club do?
The Club organizes many events throughout the year including a children’s holiday party, children’s concert during February vacation, and Couples' Social. There are also several interest groups that meet monthly including Tea and Toddlers, Family Fun, Ladies Only, Men Only, and Book Review. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory.

How does Newcomers and Neighbors support the community?
While primarily a social club, Newcomers and Neighbors raises money through our Craft Auction and Children’s Concert events and donates the funds to the Reading Library to pay for the Museum of Science pass. The Club also has donated money to the Food Pantry, Senior Center, Library Singalongs, Adopt-a-Family and other local charities. We also highlight local businesses and events in our Around the Town column of the monthly newsletter and on our website.

Is there a membership fee?
Membership dues are $25.00 per year. Our year runs from September through June. Dues pay for our monthly newsletter and some club events. Once dues are paid, a monthly newsletter will be mailed to you listing that month's events and activities. You will also be able to participate in the N&N Discussion Group.
